Who We Are
All Saints is a mixture of people who are excited to be discovering more of God's transforming and hope-giving love as each day goes by. That discovery is something we want to share with our friends and neighbours as together we seek to serve The Cally, know Jesus and make him known.
We offer a variety of one-off and regular events in which to meet and make friends and to support each other on this wonderful journey. Do join us on the adventure!
VISION
A Christ-centred community, serving The Cally, seeking to know Christ and make him known.
VALUES
Commitment to the Lordship of Christ.
In our life as a congregation, we want to make Christ central in all that we do. We therefore seek to grow in our love for Christ through our engagement with the Scriptures, through prayer and worship, and through encouraging one another in our walk with Christ (Colossians 3:15-17).
Commitment to the authority of scripture.
We want to make the Bible central. In a world where people are crying out for truth and meaning, we want ourselves and our community to be increasingly influenced and shaped by Christ and the Scriptures (2 Timothy 3:16).
Commitment to journey as family.
We recognise that life is fundamentally about relationships; with God and with our neighbour (Mark 12:28-34). As we reach out to our local community, we want to love and serve people in order that they might come to know Christ for themselves.
History
The original All Saints building was opened in 1838 and for a time was known as All Saints Battlebridge or Battle Bridge. Its location on the corner of All Saints Street and Caledonian Road was redeveloped in 1977 and the congregation moved in to the present site which was the church hall.
Old Parish records are held at the London Metropolitan Archives which is run by the City of London. There are 3 linear metres of shelving taken up by baptism, service, and marriage books as well as church council minutes etc. The reference for the church collection is P83/ALL1. All records before 1990 are held here.
